# Products and services

> How to add, import, change and delete products and services in Aigio, so the content it writes describes what you sell accurately.

If your brand sells products or offers services, list them on the **Products** and **Services** pages. Aigio uses these details so the content it writes describes what you sell accurately. Both pages work the same way.

## At a glance

- **Add one:** **Products** (or **Services**) > **Add product** > Fill in the form > **Add product**
- **Add many:** **Products** > **Import products** > **Sample CSV** > Fill it in > **Choose file** > Import
- **Change one:** Click the row (or the pencil) > Change the details > **Save changes**
- **Remove one:** Bin icon > **Delete**

## Open Products or Services

1. In the left sidebar, under **Menu**, click **Products** or **Services**.
2. The page shows a table of everything you have added, with **Name**, **Category**, **Description** and **Updated** (when it was last changed).

The number next to the page title is how many items you have. If you have many items, click **Load more** at the bottom to see the rest.

## Add a product

1. Click **Add product** at the top right.
2. Fill in the form. Every field is required except **Price** and **Variants**.

| **Name** | The product name. |
| **Category** | The type of product, for example "Hardware" or "Apparel". |
| **Description** | One or two sentences about the product. |
| **Price** (optional) | Click **Fixed** and enter one amount, or click **Range** and enter a minimum and maximum. Prices are in ₹. |
| **Features** | Click **Add feature** and type one feature. Repeat for each feature. You need at least one. |
| **Variants** (optional) | Click **Add variant**. Type the variant name (for example "Size") and its options separated by commas (for example "S, M, L"). |
| **Target audience** | Who the product is for. |
| **Key benefit** | The main reason people buy it. |
| **How to buy** | Where or how customers can buy it, for example a web address or store. |

3. Click **Add product** at the bottom.

The box closes and your product appears at the top of the list.

> **Save before you close:** If you close the **Add** box before clicking **Add product**, what you typed is lost.

## Add a service

1. Open **Services** and click **Add service**.
2. Fill in the form. Every field is required except **Pricing model** and **Pricing**.

| **Name** | The service name. |
| **Category** | The type of service, for example "Strategy" or "Marketing". |
| **Description** | One or two sentences about the service. |
| **Pricing model** (optional) | Click **One-time**, **Hourly**, **Monthly** or **Per project**. |
| **Pricing** (optional) | Click **Fixed** and enter one amount, or **Range** and enter a minimum and maximum. Prices are in ₹. |
| **What's included** | Click **Add item** and type one thing the customer gets. Repeat for each item. You need at least one. |
| **Target audience** | Who the service is for. |
| **Outcome** | What the customer has at the end. |
| **Delivery** | How you deliver it, for example "Remote" or "On site". |
| **Duration or process** | How long it takes, or its steps. |
| **How to book** | How customers can book it. |

3. Click **Add service** at the bottom.

The box closes and your service appears at the top of the list.

## Add many products or services at once

1. Click **Import products** (or **Import services**).
2. Under **Start from the sample**, click **Sample CSV**. A sample file with two example rows downloads.
3. Open the file in a spreadsheet app. Replace the examples with your own, one product per row. To put several items in one cell (such as features), separate them with `|`.
4. Save the file as CSV.
5. Back in Aigio, click **Choose file** and pick your file.
6. If the file is correct, you see "**2 products ready to import**" (with your number). Click **Import 2 products**.

## Change a product or service

1. Click the row, or click the pencil icon on the right of the row.
2. The **Edit product** (or **Edit service**) panel opens on the right, with the current details filled in.
3. Change what you need. **Save changes** becomes clickable once something has changed.
4. Click **Save changes**.

The panel closes and the list shows your change.

To close without saving, click **Cancel**.

## Delete a product or service

1. Click the red bin icon on the right of the row.
2. A box asks **Delete product?** and names the product.
3. Click **Delete** to remove it, or **Keep** to cancel.

The box closes and the row disappears from the list.

> **This cannot be undone:** Deleting removes the item permanently.

## What the error messages mean

If a required field is empty, a red message appears under it, and nothing is saved until you fix it.

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| **Name is required.** (and the same for other fields) | Fill in that field. |
| **Add at least one feature.** / **Add at least one included item.** | Click **Add feature** or **Add item** and type something. |
| **Fill in or remove empty features.** | Type in the empty line, or click its **×**. |
| **Give every variant a name and at least one option, or remove it.** | Finish the variant line, or click its **×**. |
| **Enter a valid price.** | Type a number in the price box. |
| **The minimum price can't be more than the maximum.** | Swap or correct the two range amounts. |

## Tips

- Keep descriptions short and factual. Aigio uses them when it writes about what you sell.
- Use **Range** for products or services whose price depends on size, quantity or scope.
- Have lots of products? Use **Import products** instead of adding them one at a time.
- Keep the list current. Remove anything you no longer sell.
