# Signing in and creating an account

> How to sign in to Aigio, create an account, verify your email address with a code, and reset a forgotten password.

These pages let you sign in, create a new account, verify your email address, and reset a forgotten password. You see them when you are not signed in.

## At a glance

- **Sign in:** Log in > Enter email and password > **Sign In**

- **Forgotten password:** Log in > **Forgot password?** > Enter email > **Continue** > Open the email link > Set a new password > **Reset Password**

## Sign in with your email and password

1. Open Aigio in your browser. If you are not signed in, the **Welcome back** page opens.
2. Type your email address in **Email**.
3. Type your password in **Password**.
4. Click **Sign In**.

If a field is empty or the email is not valid, the field turns red and a message appears under it.

If you opened a link to a page in Aigio, such as an invitation, Aigio takes you back to that page after you sign in.

## Sign in with Google

1. Open the **Welcome back** page.
2. Click **Continue with Google**.
3. Follow Google's sign-in steps.

## Create an account

1. On the **Welcome back** page, click **Create an account**. The **Create an account** page opens.
2. Type your name in **First name** and **Last name**.
3. Type your email address in **Email**.
4. Type a password in **Password**. Use at least 8 characters.
5. Type the same password again in **Confirm password**.
6. Click **Create Account**.

You can also click **Continue with Google** at the top of the page instead of filling in the form.

Already have an account? Click **Sign in** at the bottom of the page.

If something is missing or wrong, a red message appears under the field.

## Verify your email address

1. Open the **Verify your email** page. It shows the email address the code will be sent to.
2. Check that the email address is correct.
3. Click **Send Code**. Aigio emails you a 6-digit code.
4. Enter the 6-digit code from the email.

If the email address is wrong, click **Register** to go back and sign up again.

> **Open this page from Aigio:** The **Verify your email** page works only when you reach it from Aigio. If you open it directly, you see **Something went wrong**. Click **Go home** and sign in again.

## Reset a forgotten password

### Ask for a reset link

1. On the **Welcome back** page, click **Forgot password?**. The **Forgot your password?** page opens.
2. Type your email address in **Email**.
3. Click **Continue**. Aigio emails you a reset link.

### Set a new password

1. Open the reset email and click the link. The **Set a new password** page opens.
2. Type a new password in **New password**. Use at least 8 characters.
3. Type the same password again in **Confirm new password**.
4. Click **Reset Password**.

> **Use the link in your email:** Always open the reset link from your email. If you open the **Set a new password** page without the link, you see **Something went wrong**. Click **Go home** and request a new link.

## Show or hide your password

1. Click the eye icon at the right end of a password field. The password shows as plain text.
2. Click the icon again to hide the password.

On pages with two password fields, each field has its own eye icon.

## What the error messages mean

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Enter a valid email address. | Type a full email address, for example `name@company.com`. |
| Password is required. | Type your password. |
| First name is required. | Type your first name. |
| Last name is required. | Type your last name. |
| Password must be at least 8 characters. | Use a longer password. |
| Please confirm your password. | Type your password again in the confirm field. |
| Passwords do not match. | Make sure both password fields contain exactly the same text. |

## Tips

- Use the eye icon to check your password for typing mistakes before you click the button.
- Check your spam or junk folder if the code or reset email does not arrive.
- The **Forgot your password?** and **Set a new password** pages have no link back to sign in. Use your browser's **Back** button, or open Aigio again.

> **Keep your details private:** Never share your password or your 6-digit code with anyone.
