# Social Accounts

> How to connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Pinterest accounts to Aigio, reconnect an inactive account, and disconnect one.

**Social Accounts** is where you connect the social media accounts your brand publishes to. Once an account is connected, you can publish to it from [Social Posts](https://guide.aigio.ai/social-posts) and from the [Calendar](https://guide.aigio.ai/calendar).

Accounts belong to the workspace, so each brand keeps its own.

## At a glance

- **Open:** Left sidebar > **Favourites** > **Social Accounts**
- **Connect:** **Connect account** > Choose a platform > **Continue** > Sign in and approve access on the platform
- **Fix an inactive account:** **Reconnect** > Sign in and approve access on the platform
- **Remove:** Bin icon > **Disconnect**

## Open Social Accounts

In the left sidebar, under **Favourites**, click **Social Accounts**.

The page shows a table of your connected accounts, with **Account**, **Username**, **Platform**, **Status** and **Actions**. The number next to the page title is how many accounts you have. If you haven't connected any, you see **No social accounts yet**.

## Connect an account

You can connect accounts on these platforms: **Instagram**, **Facebook**, **LinkedIn**, **X / Twitter** and **Pinterest**.

1. Click **Connect account** at the top right. The **Connect social account** box opens.
2. Under **Platform**, choose the platform.
3. Click **Continue**. The button shows **Redirecting...**, and the platform's own sign-in page opens.
4. Sign in to the account and approve access.

The platform brings you back to Aigio, and the account appears in the list.

To close the box without connecting an account, click **Cancel**.

If you don't choose a platform, you see "Choose a platform."

## What the account status means

| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| **Active** | The account is connected. You can publish to it. |
| **Inactive** | The connection has stopped working. You can't publish to this account until you reconnect it. |

## Reconnect an account

1. On the row of the **Inactive** account, click **Reconnect**. The platform's own sign-in page opens.
2. Sign in to the account and approve access again.

The platform brings you back to Aigio.

## Disconnect an account

1. Click the red bin icon on the account's row. A box asks **Disconnect social account?** and names the account.
2. Click **Disconnect**, or **Keep** to cancel.

The account is removed from this workspace. You can connect it again later.

## Tips

- Connect your accounts before you plan to publish. Aigio can only publish to accounts that show **Active**.
- Sign in with the account you want to publish to. If you are already signed in to a different account on the platform, sign out there first.
