**Content Calendar** plans social posts around a topic for the dates and platforms you choose. When you approve the plan, the posts are added to your **Calendar**.

## At a glance

**Start campaign** > Fill in the form > **Generate campaign** > Read the plan and posts > **Approve** > The posts appear in **Calendar**

## Plan a campaign

1. Open **Tools** > **Content Calendar**.
2. Click **Start campaign**, or **+** next to **History**.
3. Fill in the form:
   - **Topic**: what the campaign is about, for example "Summer collection launch".
   - **Who is this content for?**: **Our brand as a whole**, or pick **Specific products** or **Specific services** and choose them.
   - **Campaign dates**: click **Pick dates**, click the first day, then click the last day. You can't pick days in the past.
   - **Posts per week**: how many posts you want each week. The default is 3.
   - **Goal**: **Awareness**, **Engagement**, **Launch / Hype**, **Conversion / Sales** or **Loyalty / Retention**.
   - **Platforms**: click one or more of **Instagram**, **Facebook**, **X / Twitter**, **LinkedIn**, **YouTube** and **Pinterest**.
   - **Other instructions** (optional): anything else, for example "Lean on behind-the-scenes content".
4. Click **Generate campaign**. The button shows **Generating...**. This takes about a minute.

When it's done, the campaign opens and is added to **History**.

## Review a campaign

The campaign has two parts:

- **The plan**: the campaign idea, its main message, the audience, what to measure and the hashtags to use.
- **Events**: a table with one row per post, showing the date, the type of post, and the post itself (a title, then the full idea and text).

Scroll down to see the **Events** table.

## Change a campaign

1. Select the text you want changed, describe the change, and click **Add to changes**. Or click **Regenerate** at the bottom.
2. In the **Regenerate content** box, describe what you want.
3. Click **Regenerate**.

This works the same as in [Content Generation](https://guide.aigio.ai/content-generation#change-part-of-the-content). Change the campaign before you approve it, so the right posts go into your Calendar.

## Approve a campaign and add it to your Calendar

1. Check the plan and the **Events** table.
2. At the bottom, under **Approve this campaign?**, click **Approve**.

The question and the **Approve** button go away. Each post in **Events** is added to your **Calendar** on its date.

> **Make your changes first:** Approving a campaign adds its posts to your **Calendar**. Make your changes before you approve.

## See the posts in your Calendar

1. In the left sidebar, click **Calendar**.
2. Go to the month of your campaign. Each post shows on its date with its time, platform and type, for example "Instagram · Reel".
3. Click a post to open **Edit event**. It shows the platform, type, date, time and the full post text in **Caption**.
4. To change the post, edit the fields and click **Save changes**. To close without changing it, click **Cancel**.

The small calendar on the right highlights the days that have posts. For everything you can do with the posts, including publishing them, see [Calendar](https://guide.aigio.ai/calendar).

> **Check each post:** Check the time and type of each post in your **Calendar** before you publish it. Change them in **Edit event** if needed.

## Copy, download or delete a campaign

- To copy the plan, click the copy icon at the top right.
- To save the plan as a file, click the download icon and choose **Markdown (.md)** or **PDF (.pdf)**. Aigio saves a file named "content-calendar".
- To delete the campaign, click the red bin. A box asks **Delete this campaign?** and says the campaign "and its scheduled events will be permanently removed". Click **Delete**, or **Keep** to cancel.

> **This cannot be undone:** Deleting a campaign also removes its scheduled posts from your Calendar. It can't be undone.

## Tips

- Start with a short date range to check the style of the posts, then plan longer campaigns.
- Use **Other instructions** for things like "no discount messaging" or "focus on gifting".
