**Visual Design Brief** asks you 10 questions about the look and feel your brand needs, then writes a visual brief. From an approved brief it can write a prompt for making your logo with an image tool.

## See the logo types

1. Open **Tools** > **Visual Design Brief**.
2. Click **View guide** in the text under the title. The **Logo type guide** opens.

It explains the 7 kinds of logo, what each is for, and brands that use them: Wordmark, Lettermark, Pictorial mark, Abstract mark, Mascot, Combination mark and Emblem.

## Create a visual brief

1. Click **Start visual brief**. The files step opens.
2. Tick the files that show how your brand should look, such as a logo, brand guidelines, a mood board or past designs. You can tick up to 25, and click **Add files** to upload new ones. Only ticked files are read.
3. Click **Continue**, or click **Skip** to go on without any files.
4. Read the question. The first time, the questions can take up to half a minute to appear, because Aigio writes them for your brand. Choose an answer, or type your own in **Or add your own answer…**. The answer Aigio suggests is marked **(Recommended)**.
5. Click next to go to the next question. There are 10 questions, about your logo type, design style, colours, lettering, mood, brands you admire, where the logo will be used, what to avoid, competitors and how long it should last.
6. On the last question, click **Generate brief**.

If you skip a question, you see "Answer this to continue."

> **Pick your files first:** The questions are written from your ticked files the first time, so pick your files before you answer.

## Approve a brief and get a logo prompt

1. Read the brief.
2. To change it, select text to suggest a change, or click **Regenerate**. This works the same as in [Content Generation](https://guide.aigio.ai/content-generation#change-part-of-the-content).
3. Click **Approve**.
4. Click **Generate logo prompt**. In the **Logo prompt** box, click **Start generating**.
5. Read the prompt, then click **Approve**, or **Regenerate** to change it.
6. Copy the prompt and paste it into the image tool you use to make logos.
