Brand overview

How to generate, read, change and approve your Brand overview, the report Aigio writes about your brand, and download it as a PDF.

The Brand overview page shows the document Aigio writes about your brand from your setup answers and files. You can read it, copy or download it, ask Aigio to change it, and approve the version you are happy with.

At a glance

  • Open: Your workspaces > Click the workspace > Overview
  • First overview: Overview > Generate overview > Read it > Approve
  • Change it: Select text > Suggest a change > Add to changes > Regenerate > Approve
  • Use other files: Brand files (or Files) > Tick files > Regenerate overview > Approve

Open the Brand overview

  1. On the Your workspaces page, click the workspace. The Brand overview page opens.
  2. If you are somewhere else in the workspace, click Overview in the left sidebar.

If you have not finished setting up the workspace, Aigio takes you back to the setup step you need to finish.

Generate your first overview

Aigio usually creates your overview when you finish setup. If you see No brand overview yet:

  1. Click Generate overview.
  2. Wait while the page shows Generating your overview…. This can take a minute. You can leave the page and come back.

If something goes wrong, a red message appears. Click Try again.

Move around the overview

  1. Find the On this page list on the left. It shows each section of the overview.
  2. Click a section name. The page scrolls to that section.

The section you are reading is highlighted. The list shows only on wide screens.

Copy or download the overview

  • To copy the text, click the copy icon (Copy markdown) at the top right. A message confirms Copied to clipboard.
  • To save a file, click the download icon (Download) and choose Markdown (.md) or PDF (.pdf). Aigio saves a file named brand-overview to your computer.

A PDF is ready to read or share. Markdown is a plain-text format that most writing tools can open.

  1. Select the text you want changed. The Suggest a change box opens above it.
  2. Type what you want in Changes, for example "Make this more concise".
  3. Click Add to changes. Your note is added to the box at the bottom of the page.
  4. Repeat for any other parts you want changed.
  5. Click Regenerate (the circular arrows). Aigio writes a new version.

Press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac) to add a change without clicking.

Ask for a general change

  1. Type your request in the box at the bottom of the page, Describe a change to your brand overview.
  2. Click Regenerate (the circular arrows).

The button stays greyed out until you type something. Keep your request under 2000 characters.

After Aigio writes a new version, the bottom of the page shows Approve changes?.

  1. Read the new overview.
  2. Choose one:
    • Click Approve to keep this version.
    • Click Regenerate to ask for another version. In the Regenerate content box, describe the change, or leave it empty to try again as is. Then click Regenerate.

When you approve, the bottom of the page shows the change box again.

Regenerate using your brand files

  1. Click the paperclip icon (Brand files) in the bottom box, or Files in the Approve changes? bar. The Regenerate with your files box opens.
  2. Tick the files Aigio should use. Untick the ones it should ignore. You can use up to 50 files.
  3. (Optional) Click Add files to add new files. Point to View supported formats to see which files you can add.
  4. (Optional) Type what you want changed in Changes (optional).
  5. Click Regenerate overview. The button shows Saving…, then Reading your files…, then Regenerating…. The box closes when the new version is ready.

To close without changes, click Cancel.
